Jamdani
An echo of character and abstractness, ‘Waves’ collection surprises with its whimsical play of patterns, curves and colors symbolizing rhythms just like water.
This modern reiteration of Jamdani captures the pulse of the ocean water through evershifting extra weft motifs.
Waves’ collection is handwoven in hand spun cotton and hand dyed in natural dyes by artisans of Bengal. Inspired by the soulful stillness of the ocean and the depths of its waters, the stole, emulates a vision of sand ridges among partially rising waves through an intricate play of hand-woven extra weft motifs that move through curved lines and break into stillness.
Woven by skilled Jamdani weavers, each warp is handpicked by the artisan to bring every motif to life, thereby upholding the authenticity of the craft and epitomising sustainability.
